Club Policies

Recoil TC coaches have immense personnel commitment and it is Club Policy to always ensure that its coaches are, where possible, involved with and agree with, all of the Club activities at every level.

Insurance

Recoil TC is registered with British Gymnastics - Membership Number 41419 Members are individually named and registered as B.G. Associate members.

All Recoil TC coaches hold full membership and judges associate British Gymnastics Membership.

Behaviour

Recoil TC encourage an open environment and provide adequate supervision at all times.

Bullying of any kind will not be tolerated. Members are encouraged to share any concerns in the first instance with their coach. All signs of bullying will be taken seriously and any concerns will be treated with utmost confidentiality.

Our coaches can give advice or reassurance to any parent who is concerned or anxious that their child is being bullied or may be a bully.

Recoil TC has it own designated Health, Welfare and Safety Officers, Jan 0798 4862563, Jo 0776 3880712, Ben 07838 157965, to which all complaints; grievances or suspicions should be addressed.

The Club will not permit any form of bad behaviour, either at training or whilst visiting other sports centres as a representative of our club.

Parents

We appreciate the support that our parents give their children and our club and we are always happy to see them. If any parent has any concerns relating to their child, these should be addressed in the first instance with the coach who will regard concerns with priority. Where necessary they will then involve other coaches at the earliest opportunity.

Permitted time away from the trampoline during training

Members are NOT permitted to leave the Sports Centre under any circumstances unless accompanied by their parent/guardian or a coach/nominated official e.g. fire drill.

Members may leave the trampolining hall with permission from their coach to visit the toilet, get a drink or a snack, for a maximum of three minutes. Members must then tell their coach when they return.

Suitable clothes for training

Suitable, close fitting, sports clothing must be worn for training. Loose baggy tops (particularly with hoods), baggy track-suit trousers, denim jeans or anything with buttons is not appropriate. Socks or trampoline shoes MUST be worn. Leotards should be worn for grade 4 and above.

No jewellery is permitted except very small stud earrings when training.

Recoil TC have their own Leotards, T-Shirts, Shorts and Track-suits which can be purchased (please see our Club Shop page for details)

Clothing at competitions

Where possible Recoil TC kit ie T'Shirts/Track-Suits should be worn for warm-up etc., However, when competiting the following dress is required:

  • Girls: grades 6 to 5 - long-sleeved club leotard or plain white shorts and t'shirt with plain white socks and hair secured in a bun.
  • Girls: Grade 4 and above - as above with a Club leotard (supplied) and a matching hair scrunchie.
  • Boys: grades 6 to 5 - plain white shorts or white trampoline trousers and t'shirt, with plain white socks.
  • Boys: Grade 4 and above - Club body suit (supplied) and white trampoline trousers.
NO JEWELLERY OF ANY KIND IS PERMITTED

Recoil TC responsibility to the competitor

  • Timely identification of competition timetable, indicating the grading competitions in particular.
  • Ensure entries are made, complying with the competition requirements.
  • Notify parents of details (directions, accommodations, travel arrangements, competition timetable).
  • Provide as many Judges / Officials as required by the competition rules.
  • Provide at least one delegated suitable qualified coach, on the competition floor.
  • Provide club leotards (grade 4 and above)

Recoil TC competitors responsibility to the Club

  • Competitors of Grades 4 and above MUST compete in at least the four grading competitions per year.
  • Ensure signed competition slips are returned on time with appropriate fee
  • Notify your coach if they are unable to attended a competition by 8.30am on the morning of the competition
  • Ensure that you arrive in good time for your warm-up
  • Ensure correct kit is worn at competitions
  • If possible ensure that other Recoil TC members are available to spot and support.
  • Adopt a supportive attitude to all other Recoil TC competitors.
  • Conduct themselves in an acceptable manor ensuring utmost good behaviour at all times towards all other competitors and officials.

Parents responsibility towards each competition

  • As far as possible, allow entry to all the prioritised competitions.
  • Ensure your child is available and equipped to travel & compete.
  • Be prepared to share travel arrangements with Coaches, Judges & Officials.
  • Ensure that your child is available to spot / support others throughout the day.

Recoil TC responsibility to each coach and judge/official

  • Ensure that travel to / from the competition is accompanied if required, and that costs are shared appropriately.
  • Provide details (directions, accommodations, travel arrangements, competition timetable).
  • Fund Hotel accommodation when overnight stay is appropriate.

Coaches/Judges/Officials Responsibility

  • Represent the best interests of Recoil TC and be supportive to all our competitors.
  • Ensure Recoil TC policies are maintained.
  • Maintain parental responsibility for unaccompanied minors.

Rules

Club rules are there for the safety and well being of our member's and must be adhered to at all times during training. Any abuse of any of the Recoil TC rules will result in a restriction of privileges, possible 'time-out' and consultation with the parent.

  • Always do as your coach tells you
  • Never get on a trampoline without a qualified coach being present
  • Careful Spotting at all times
  • If you need to leave your group - tell your coach
  • Suitable sports clothing must be worn (link)
  • No eating or drinking around the trampolines
  • No Jewellery
  • Tell your coach of any medical condition
  • Inform your coach if you have had any head injury in the past six months
  • Never go under the trampoline
  • New moves must not be attempted without the coaches permission
  • Always dismount the trampoline carefully
  • Let your coach know if you are unable to attend for a period of more than 2 weeks
