Each month, a member of the club aged between 11 and 25 receives the award for their achievement at Recoil trampoline Club. This could be for their trampoline skills but could also be for their contribution to the Club - for example helping others, reliability, spotting for other members - or their determination and attitude. The winner receives a 'cheque' for £200 to use towards purchasing items for our Club - either from the Club's 'wish list' or the winner's own choice. The winner also receives a framed certificate, has their name displayed on the Jack Petchey noticeboard in the Brentwood Centre and will be awarded a medallion either at our annual club celebration event or at a Jack Petchey celebration event. We have divided up the 12 months of the year between our eight different training sessions where the majority of members are over 11 years old and a further four for whole club activities. Any member who turns 11 in that calendar year is eligible to receive the award. For each of the 'group choice' months, a member is nominated and then chosen as winner by the other members on the particular session stated. For the remaining four monthly awards the coaches and suitable others will nominate and chose the winners. A list of the sessions and the 'topic' for that month will be displayed on the Notice Board. The winning person for that month will have their name displayed ends for each month will be on the noticeboard. The coaches for the session will arrange the ballot on one of the session days and the winner will receive their certificate and 'cheque' shortly afterwards. It is hoped that the local press will be attend some of the award presentations or ceremonies and therefore, winners need to be prepared to have their pictures published if required - in the press or in promotional material for the Jack Petchey Foundation. This is an excellent opportunity for the club to recognise the achievements of the members and to purchase new equipment for the club - £2400 per year! |
